Quote is a potential project. You can create it if the client is requesting the quote or if you are simply not sure yet you will get the project.
The basic steps are as follows:
1. Go to the Quotes list page and click New quote .
2. Enter quote info (language, deadline etc) and click "Create".
3. Upload the files or links to files (file URLs) you received from the client, if any:
More info here.
4. Upload CAT log files or enter them manually if needed:
More info here.
5. Enter receivables to indicate the amount to be charged from the client:
More info here.
6. Check if everything is ok and click "Send" to send the quote to the client or "Mark as sent" (the client will not get any notifications):
9. Once the quote is sent, the client can Accept or Reject the quote. Or you can move forward the quote by marking it as accepted or rejected:
10. Having accepted the quote, both you and the client can "Create project"
More info here.
