Project templates creation
Use this page to create templates for your projects.
Project templates save you time if your company regularly works on similar types of projects. They provide a standard set of predefined values (client, languages, jobs, files, receivables etc.) for a type of project.
In other words, you don’t have to start all over again each time you need to create a similar project. After you build the foundation you will just have to add variable project values.
So first, go to the Projects menu and press the "Templates" button:
It will bring you to the Project templates page.
To create a new project template, press the "New template" button:
Enter the template basic data and press "Create":
The project template page will be displayed with the following tabs:
The project template tabs are very similar to the project tabs (for more detailed information, please follow the links in the brief descriptions below):
- The Details tab contains the project template details you entered during the template creation. You can update them by pressing the "Update" button.
- On the Files tab, you can upload project input files, if necessary, and view the rest of the files related to the project template.
- On the Jobs tab, you may assign jobs to your vendors (e.g. translators, proofreaders etc.).
- On the Finances tab, you can enter receivables from the client and view payables to your vendors.
You can also create a new project template by saving a project as a template.
Create project based on template
Having completed the project template creation, you may add a new project based on this template by pressing the "Create project" button:
All the template details, finances, jobs and uploaded files will be copied to the newly created project.
Then you will be able to set the project and jobs deadlines, add variable project values, and continue working on the project.
You can also create a new project template by saving a project as a template.
